OZEV Grant – Do I qualify?
Reduce the cost of home charger installation by £350, with a Government-backed, OZEV grant.
You are eligible if the following is applicable to you:
You have dedicated off-street parking
Your plug-in vehicle was purchased after 1st October 2016
You have not already claimed the grant for you vehicle
By claiming the grant you are not exceeding the limit of two OZEV-funded charge point per household
Assuming you qualify, EnergyForce can take care of your claim on your behalf.

The time it takes to charge an electric vehicle from full to flat depends on the size of your vehicle’s battery and the overall charging speed of you charging point. On average, a 60kWh car battery should take around eight hours to be fully charged with a 7kW charging point.
The OZEV grant mentioned above, also referred to as the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme can save you upto £350 on the total price of your domestic charging point, subject to eligibility. Each household, if eligible, can apply for two OZEV funded charging points. You are also able to claim for this grant should you decide to purchase a second-hand electric car, or have been designated with a contract for a company car for more than 6 months.
- Our standard installation process includes:
The Installation of your EV home charger onto a sturdy surface, such as brick or another suitable permanent structure.
- Up to 15 metres of cabling externally clipped between the distribution board or electric meter and your EV home charger.
- This cable will then be run through a single wall of up to 500 millimetres in thickness and clipped flush to the wall at a height of up to 6 foot, to keep everything compact and out of the way.
- The installation of a Type A RCD, to protect the newly installed circuits and wiring, in an approved and sheltered enclosure.
- An earth rod fixed into soft ground (if required).
- Up to 3 metres of plastic conduit to conceal the interior wiring.
If your property doesn’t meet our requirements for the standard installation, we are still able to install your EnergyForce Wallbox, but additional costs may be incurred.
Our engineers will provide a bespoke quotation once you have conducted your survey. No payment will be taken, until you’ve accepted the quote.
When charging your car at home, you can charge it as often as you’d like! In a similar fashion to a mobile phone, many drivers plug in and charge their cars every evening.
Charging your car overnight also allows drivers to take advantage of cheaper night time charging rates and also ensures your car is fully charged and ready for the day ahead. Once your car is fully charged, the charging function will automatically stop, so you don’t have to wait around to unplug it.
A 22kW charger is the fastest charger you can get for the home, but to achieve this the charge point will need to be three-phase compatible and use what’s called a three-phase electricity supply.
Your property will need to have a three-phase electricity supply. Most residential properties in the UK operate on a single-phase supply. It is possible to apply for an upgrade to three-phase supply through your DNO, but this will be very expensive with costs ranging from £7,000 to £25,000.
